Why would I decide to live in Carrowmore meadows Time for Life village?

Perhaps the maintenance of your home and garden is becoming a burden and you would like more free time. Is your current home too big or you would like to live in a house without stairs. Maybe you feel isolated from friends and like minded people or you would like to have amenities and facilities near you where you could carry out your hobbies and pastimes.

Are housekeeping and meal services available? If so, are they provided by the Village?

House cleaning can be made available at an additional cost, meal service will be arranged if a sufficient number require the service

Is there an effective emergency call system 24 hours per day in the dwelling?

Yes, an emergency panic button system.

What happens if I need nursing care or become ill?

There are nursing home facilities and doctor/health services available locally and an on-site Nursing Home is being planned for.

What happens if I have to leave my dwelling for long periods because of holidays, being hospitalised, or need personal/nursing care?

Leaving your owned dwelling is not a problem provided the monthly Facilities and Services fee continues to be paid. Leaving your leased dwelling is not a problem provided the monthly lease and Facilities and Services fee continues to be paid.

If I become acutely sick, which major hospital is closest to the Village?

The County General, Castlebar. We currently have a 24 hour, Order of Malta ambulance service in Knock Village with full cardiac facilities.

Are pets permitted, if so what conditions are set down by the Village in relation to them?

Pets are welcome but must be kept under control and not be allowed to cause a nuisance to the neighbourhood.

What type of public, private or Village transport is available, how often does it run, what is the cost?

There is a courtesy shuttle car service available to and from the Village to Knock village centre, with all major bus route stops in Knock village.

If the Village is not yet completed, what guarantee do I have that I will get what is proposed in the plan

All proposals are already implemented

What security measures are taken in the the Village as a whole?

Intruder alarms fitted to each dwelling, CCTV camera at main entrance, 24 hour emergency call panic button available to each resident.

Are the dwellings and community centre accessible in the event that I become disabled and need a wheelchair or walking aid?

The development is wheelchair accessible.

What insurance cover do I need to arrange?

All residents must insure their own property and its contents.

Can I, at any time, sell or dispose of my dwelling, or are there restrictions as to who can acquire my dwelling?

If you own your dwelling you can sell, or transfer it to anyone, at any time. However the village is designed for older people.

Is a deposit requested on a dwelling? If so, how much?

If buying your dwelling a 10% deposit of full purchase price payable at Contract signing stage, with the remaining 90% required at key hand over. For leasing clients, 2 months leasing is required in advance with monthly payments thereafter by direct debit from your bank account.

When can I expect to move into my new home?

From signing of contract it will be possible to move in within 6 weeks.
